The knowlege that I bring to this program has been learned over 25 years of playing, watching and coaching this most beautiful of games. I believe this game should be played with a style that is easy on the eye and also enjoyed by the players. However, this style is not easy to learn and everyone must be committed to the goal. Ever since I was a player here at West we have tried to play a creative and attacking style of football with passing and moving off the ball. We will always try to carry the play if possible. I hope players find that this style of play can give them the freedome to express themselves and still play within the framework of the team. I hope family, friends, and fans can see that the boys are trying to play attacking creative football. West has reached the Cook Inlet Conference title game 11 times in 25 years and has 4 titles. Let's make it number 5 for 2008. Since 2000 when ASAA finally created a "real" state tournament (prior to that, the CIC champion was acknowledged as the state champion), West has failed to reach the title game.
*10th in the nation (15-0-0) No other boys teams has gone undefeated all year. |
